Vertexs' 4th annual charity golf day was held on a beautiful autumn day on Thursday 3rd April at Burswood Golf Course. Twenty-seven teams participated in the day which saw the Macquarie team take out first prize. A buffet lunch was followed by an auction and raffle, where a Baume et Mercier watch was won. Gary Hewitt, founder of Awareness Cambodia, talked about the very important work his organisation is doing for poor, disadvantaged and orphaned children and their communities. Just under $10 000 was raised and this money will make very big in-roads towards improving their lives.
